Ckay Early Life

Chukwuka Ekweani was born in Kaduna state, which is in northwest Nigeria. He is of Igbo descent and hails from Anambra State. At the local church, his father oversaw the choir. who encouraged him to go into music as a career. Early exposure to musical instruments inspired him to study the piano with his father. After that, a friend introduced him to the production software ‘Fruity Loops’. Chukwuka started his musical career as a member of a band with himself and two other bandmates before starting his solo career as CKay.
