Rufus Sewell was born in 1967, on the 29th of October in the United Kingdom, Twickenham. He is the son of Mrs. Jo Sewell and Mr. William Sewell. His Mother was a classical pianist and his Father was an Anglo-Australian Animator back in the day. Rufus didn’t got to experience much love and affection from his parents as they got divorced when he was just 5 years old. Sadly, his father passed away when he was 10 years old.
Sewell did his academics at Trafalgar Junior School. Sewell was very passionate about acting from his early teenage years. He was also a member of the drama club during his time at Junior School. He pursued his academic as well as acting career in different schools, Orleans Park School, West Thames College, and Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
Sewell participated in different auditions and got his first breakthrough year from the movie named Dirty Weekend in 1993. In his career, he is also known for his villainous roles in different movies. He got offers to play in the movies like Cold Comfort Farm, Dark City, The Holiday, etc. Gradually, he became well-established and well-known to the film community and industry. His first marriage was with his long-term girlfriend named, Yasmin Abdallah in 1999. Yasmin Abdallah is an Australian Journalist by profession. Unfortunately, they didn’t get to spend very long quality time with each other. In 2000, they got divorced after only 1 year together. His second marriage took place in 2004 with Amy Gardner. They gave birth to a son named, William Douglas. After 2 short years of relationship, they got divorced in 2006. Sewell also has a daughter born on 2013 named Lola.
Sewell stated that he likes traveling from place to place, going to cafes, and doing photography. He is also a big charity guy and loves helping needy people and makes them this place ‘EARTH’ a happy and better place to live. He has supported charities like FilmAid International.
