Ramón “Raymond” Luis Ayala Rodríguez, better known by his stage name Daddy Yankee. He is a Puerto Rican reggaetón recording artist who has won a Latin Grammy Award. His two number-one hits, “Despacito” and “Gasolina,” are what most people around the world know him for.

Early Life

On February 3, 1977, Daddy Yankee was born in Río Piedras. It’s the biggest island in San Juan, Puerto Rico. His father was a bongosero, or salsa percussionist, and also a musician. Even though he comes from a family of musicians, but his mother also has a manicurist. Nomar is the name of his brother.

His teenage dream was to play Major League Baseball professionally. What’s more, is that he even had the opportunity to try out for the Seattle Mariners. Along with the album, he also announced a supporting tour, and he intended to retire after it was finished. Daddy Yankee and Rauw Alejandro released the single “Panties y Brassieres” in January 2023.
