Gautam Adani was born in Gujarat, Ahmedabad in 1962, on the 24th of June. He is the son of Mr. Shantilal Adani and Mrs. Shantaben Adani. His father was a small textile trader. He belongs to the Gujarati Jain family. Surprisingly, he has 7 siblings. He did his academics at Sheth Chimanlal Nagindas School in his hometown Ahmedabad. He also went on to pursue his academics in commerce at Gujarat University, but he understood, it wasn’t his cup of tea and got dropped out.
Adani wanted to become a successful businessperson in his life. As everyone does, he also started small, while in his teenage years, he moved to Mumbai to work as a diamond sorter in 1978.
