Early Life

George Kusunoki Miller was born in the Japanese city of Osaka. His father is from Australia whereas his mother is from Japan. Joji graduated in 2012 from the Canadian Academy, an international school in Kobe, Japan. He left Japan at the age of 18 and traveled to the United States.

He attended the New York Institute of Technology for a year. But dropped out of school to pursue a career as a YouTuber.

Miller described Filthy Frank, a persona he created in 2012. The anti-vlogger of YouTube, and the channel began to gain popularity. On July 1, 2014, Miller launched a third channel, TooDamnFilthy. Miller stated on Twitter on December 29, 2017, that he had stopped producing Filthy Frank. Content owing to “serious health conditions” and a lack of enthusiasm in continuing the show. Joji co-wrote the song “Nomadic” with the Chinese rap group Higher Brothers. Miller made her live debut as Joji in Los Angeles on May 18, 2017. The Boiler Room live-streamed the event. Miller released the first single off his debut commercial effort, In Tongues, on October 17, 2017. The track “Will He” was released on Spotify and iTunes.

Joji released the single “Glimpse of Us” on June 9, 2022, and it peaked at number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100. On August 26, he released his second single, “Yukon (Interlude)“.
