Max Holloway is a professional American Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) player. Max currently competes in the Featherweight division in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He became the UFC Featherweight Champion, on June 3, 2017, when he defeated Jose Aldo. In August 2018, he was ranked the fourth-best UFC pound-for-pound fighter. As of July 11, 2023, is #1 in the UFC featherweight rankings.

Jerome Max Holloway was born on 4th December 1991, in Honolulu, Hawaii, and was raised in Waianae, an area known for fist fighting. He is currently 32 years old, (as of March 2024). Discussing his early life, Max Holloway’s parents were both drug addicts, and his mother, Missy Kapoi, was a crystal meth consumer who later recovered. His father, Mark Holloway left him when he was 11 years old after continuously abusing his mother.

Career

Max began his professional career in the year 2010. He recorded four straight wins at the age of 19. In March 2011, Halloway had a split decision with over famous kickboxer, Harris Sarmiento, and that fortune earned him the X-1 Lightweight Championship belt. In 2012, Max Holloway entered the UFC at UFC 143, stepping in as a replacement for the injured Ricardo Lamas.

2012

On February 2012, He made his UFC debut at UFC 143 but lost the match with his opponent Dustin Poirier in the first round by submission.
