Toby Edward Heslewood Jones is known by his stage name Toby Jones. Toby is a British actor who was born on September 7, 1966. Jones was born in Hammersmith, London, England. His father is an actor, Freddie Jones. His mother is  Jennifer Jones who is also an actress. However, he also has two brothers: Casper, also an actor, and Rupert, a director.

In the 1980s, he went to Oxfordshire’s Christ Church Cathedral School and Abingdon School. He pursued his studies in drama from 1986 to 1989 at the University of Manchester and from 1989 to 1991 at the École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris.

Since he made his acting debut in the 1992 film Orlando, Jones has made appearances in over 20 films.
