Early Life
Tate bears the name of his father, Emory Tate Jr. was an American chess expert and US Air Force employee in Britain. His mother Eileen Ashleigh was a working-class English woman. Tate spent his childhood in America until his parents got divorced after meeting in the UK. Tate and his mother relocated to Luton, England, after the divorce. Emory and Eileen also have a younger son named Tristan and a daughter named Janine in addition to Andrew.

Andrew and Tristan were charged with rape and human trafficking on June 20, 2023. In a statement released by Romania’s Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism. The brothers and several co-defendants formed a criminal organization in 2021 to “commit the crime of human trafficking on the territory of Romania, but also in other countries, such as the United States of America and Great Britain….“. And that they misled seven alleged victims with “the intention to establish a marriage/cohabitation relationship and the existence of real feelings of love.”
The indictment further claims that these ladies were coerced into performing pornographic actions. Which were videotaped and uploaded to the internet through acts of violence and mental abuse.
The brothers deny all charges. On the day of their indictment, they issued the following statement:
“While this news is undoubtedly predictable, we embrace the opportunity it presents to demonstrate their innocence and vindicate their reputation. The indictment now allows us to present a comprehensive body of evidence, diligently collected. and prepared over time, which will undoubtedly substantiate the brothers’ claims of innocence.“
