Wang Yibo started dancing when he was very young. Although he was still a student, he competed in the IBD national dance competition in 2011. He got in the top sixteen in the hip-hop group. Wang first debuted as a part of the South Korean-Chinese boy band Uniq in 2014 with the song “Falling in Love.” He was the group’s main dancer and rapper. From 2016 to 2021, Yibo hosted the comedy show Day Day Up.

The digital single “Fire” marked Wang Yibo’s début as a solo artist in January 2019. Wang debuted as a songwriter with the publication of his single “No Sense” on December 30, 2019. Wang got a lot of unwanted calls in the same month of the year from people who bought his personal phone number online. Wang took some of these calls and told the people who were calling to stop bothering him and respect his privacy.

Yibo told those who knew him on Weibo that they should stop calling him and not waste their money buying his phone number because the calls are getting in the way of his privacy.

He said he would change his number, even though it was hard for him to keep his family and business contacts up to date with the new number. He put up photos of getting 194 calls from numbers he didn’t know.

Yuehua Entertainment, Wang’s management company, said that would take action and said it had kept track of these numbers and would provide them to the police if needed.
